    Ahmar AbbasAhmar Abbas is the Vice President of Global Services at DISYS. He joined DISYS in July 2011, and is responsible for developing new and innovative service offerings while leveraging the global delivery model. Prior to DISYS, Mr. Abbas was the Senior Vice President at CSS Corp., responsible for Global Infrastructure Management Services and Cloud Services.

    Mr. Abbas has an extensive IT background: he was the Vice President of Managed Hosting Services at Blackboard Inc., the Founder and Managing Director of Grid Technology Partners, and has held various senior management positions at Ciena Corporation, Zaffire Inc., UUNet Technologies, and Salomon Brothers.

    Additionally, he is the author of Grid Computing: A Practical Guide to Technology and Applications, (Charles River Media, 2004), and has been frequently quoted in Business Week, Red Herring, CIO, and other technology publications. Mr. Abbas holds a BE in Electrical Engineering, as well as a MS in Management from Stevens Institute of Technology, where he was the captain of the Squash team.

    He is also a graduate of the International Business program at McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University, and the Leading Product Development program at Harvard Business School. Mr. Abbas has his private pilot’s license and enjoys flying in his free time.
