They. distribute products through direct-store-delivery, customer warehouse, and food service and vending distribution networks. The company was founded in 1898 and is headquartered in Purchase, New York.
  • Client Engagements Overview: DISYS started working with the client in 2006 and was originally contracted to provide minor SAP testing services. Because of the quality of service provided, the client soon expanded their relationship with DISYS to include the management of major testing services for various projects.

Engagement Details:

  • Business Need: The client required testing services for their SAP implementation in support of one of their business units. The SAP modules involved included FICO, MM, SRM, CRM, SD, and PP, as well as several other internal processes.


  • Project Objectives: The Supplier was supposed to provide project management and consulting support to the client for test performance and automation.
    • Lead Performance and Automation Team in the day to day delivery of automation and performance services to all projects.
    • Develop Performance Test Framework.
    • Develop Automation Test Framework.
    • Oversee all Enterprise Test Center projects for the development of the new test processes. 
  • Solution Approach:
    • The original role played by DISYS consultants involved System performance and Regression/Automation Testing for SAP releases of the client’s global integration project.
    • DISYS consultants managed the Performance and Automation Team daily delivery activities, determined the optimal use of the Accord Tool and manage the Accord project delivery, and develop the Automation and Performance Test Frameworks for the client for all application and GTA projects.
    • In addition, DISYS provided technical expertise with Mercury Quality Center 9.2. and Mercury LoadRunner.  DISYS provided reporting & test metrics utilizing Mercury Quality Center and ensured the client there was a Traceability Matrix between requirements and test cases. 
    • DISYS also worked with the business to prioritize and rank defect severity.
    • DISYS utilized Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile methodologies in working with the client.  DISYS applied CMMi Level 3 best practices for verification and validation, and also did SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) compliance testing for financial applications.

  • Business Value:
    • The testing services delivered by DISYS consultants in the initial steps of the implementation resulted in the client expanding DISYS’ role on the project to leading regression testing on major SAP releases, and eventually the testing of some of their core legacy applications and infrastructure. 
    • DISYS developed and built a new Automation Test Framework and Performance Test Framework for the Enterprise Test Center. 
    • The project was completed on time and on budget and brought higher levels of efficiency and greater capabilities to the Enterprise Test Center.
    • The testing services provided by DISYS involved mission critical, tier one business applications and DISYS delivered above and beyond expectations
