» Proposal Writing/Editing Support Specialist
A state government contractor, is seeking full-time Proposal / Writing/ Editing support.
Responsibilities include reviewing RFP’s and writing complete proposals, as well as editing, proofreading, and formatting; coordinating production; and developing/maintaining proposal systems for resumes, project summaries, and company boilerplate. Will report directly to management and work with all levels of company. Must have experience writing/coordinating proposals in the State government contracting arena; excellent writing/editing skills; high-level working knowledge of Word including the ability to create charts and tables/ time flexibility as occasional long hours and /or weekends may be required; and the ability to maintain a positive attitude when facing short deadlines and handling multiple tasks. Must be willing to contribute soup-to-nuts, from research, original writing, cost/price analysis and assembly.
Must be expert in planning, organizing, scheduling, compliance checks, status reporting, and all related tasks necessary to respond effectively to government procurements. Must be able to operate as Volume Lead on large proposals as well as work all aspects of small proposals and Task Order proposals.
Critical attributes include exceptional teamwork, flexibility, organization, and a do-whatever-it-takes attitude. Must understand government contracting government contracting and proposal processes.
Job Description / Details:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in English or computer-or science-oriented field is required.
- More than 3 years of experience with state or local government bids with 5 years of proposal writing/editing experience. Solid understanding of state/local government procurement process and policies is essential.
- For an expanding proposal department, provide technical writing and editing for state and local proposals: RFI responses; presentations; white papers; and other products developed or supported by the group.
- Must have experience in government proposals. (Suitable candidates will be tested in proposal editing and writing)
- Demonstrated experience in the state government procurement process.
- Detail-oriented and works well with a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Participates in full life cycle of product development as required.
- Flexibility to serve as editorial volume or section lead.
- Understands all aspects of document publishing and participates as assigned.
- Flexibility to work extended and off hours as needed to ensure proposal deadlines are met.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Cisco Voice Over IP engineer for our Government business unit. This full time position is based out of our Chantilly, VA office.
**Design, plan, implementation and support of medium- to large-scale enterprise-wide Cisco based VoIP solutions

This position is responsible for delivering Cisco based VoIP solutions for clients to include designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting existing and new voice networks while providing support. The engineer will work on-site and off-site on customer premises to implement Cisco based VoIP solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a dynamic personality and establish a rapport with customers at the business and technical level.
REQUIREMENTS
**CCVP certification is required
**CCIE Voice certification is highly desired/preferred
**CCIE, CCNP, CCDP or CCSP certifications desired
**PMP/PMI certification is a plus
**MCSE 2003 w/Messaging certification desired
**(4) four years of experience in enterprise VoIP solutions with technical expertise in Cisco Advanced Unified Communications Suite (Call Manager 4.x, 5.x and 6.x, ICM/IPCC Express or Enterprise, Unity and Unified Messaging, Meeting Place and Meeting Place Express).
**(4) years of experience maintaining a WAN/LAN as well as familiarity with Cisco network devices and appliances
**Create detailed BOM & SOW documentation with clearly defined deliverables and equipment lists.
**This position will require the engineer to travel through out VA, MD, & DC.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE of the following:
**Legacy PBX and ACD systems or Call Center systems engineering experience
**VoIP testing experience including creation of test plan with voice quality measurements
**Cisco multilayer switching utilizing Cisco 4500/6500 series switches. (IOS & CAT OS) VLAN allocation and management
**Cisco Firewall Service Modules (FWSM) and Cisco ASA VPN (IPSEC & SSL)
**Expertise with Cisco routers including Cisco 7600, 3800 and 2800 series routers
**Experience with Cisco EIGRP, BGP, HSRP, DNS, OSPF, CDP, MLPS, QOS technologies
**PSTN protocols, SS7, PRI, CAS, T1, Analog, Digital, DID, POTS, E&M
**VoIP protocols, SIP, MGCP, SCCP, H.323
**Excellent communication skills and strong knowledge of Business Applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, CRM applications, etc.)
**Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
**Understanding of best practices in network architecture, IPT design and ability to create detailed design using Visio
**Experience in presales strategy and full sales cycle

Responsibilities
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from business directories, the Internet, references, other sources and in-house lead development program.
- Provides independent, courteous problem solving services by timely, accurately and effectively resolving (directly or indirectly) customer concerns.
- Checks with Supervisor or Team Leader about any question, problem or complaint that cannot be amicably resolved with a customer or co-worker.
- Maintains and expands existing business as well as develops new business.

Responsibilities
- Design, configure and implement routing and switching, VOIP, security and wireless solutions for DISYS’s HP and Cisco based customers.
- Interface with customers to define their design solutions, prepare bill of material, statement of work, VISIO and implement the solution. Resolve customer and internal LAN / WAN issues. Other duties as directed from the IT Director.
- Include Access and Visual Basic development, software installations, LAN Connectivity, remote administration, server setup and maintenance, and real mode configuration
- Responsible for performing maintenance on Cisco routers and switches and working directly with our vendors and customers to resolve related issues
Minimum Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge:
- Three to five years experience as a Network / Systems Engineer or similar position having the below skills sets and work experience
- Certifications required: MCSE, CCNP, CCVP
