CEO – Mahfuz Ahmed
Mahfuz Ahmed is the CEO and principal founder of Digital Intelligence Systems, LLC (DISYS) – a global IT consulting services company. As CEO and current Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Ahmed’s primary role focuses on continuous strategic planning, securing strategic opportunities for his company, financial management, operations, and overseeing a growing portfolio of DISYS services.
In addition to obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from George Mason University (GMU) – as an alumnus of the Harvard University OPM program, Mr. Ahmed possesses more than 20 years of applicable Information Technology and Leadership experience. His early education and career lessons led to the creation of a company that is dedicated to excellent service at competitive costs in a fast-growing industry. To provide services that accelerate project completion and drive client cost savings, Mahfuz Ahmed prides himself on leveraging a leader-development approach, his project management expertise, industry insights and innovative technical skills. Mr. Ahmed has provided these services to over 200 clients in DISYS’ 20-year history and shows no signs of slowing.
Recognition of Mahfuz’s leadership career includes The Washington Business Journal’s 40 under 40; E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year of the Greater Washington D.C. Region, YPO membership status, a Governor’s appointment to the George Mason University Board of Visitors, a Distinguished alumni award from GMU’s School of Engineering, features in multiple publications (i.e. The Washington Post and Wall Street Journal), as well as being the recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year from the Capital Region Minority Supplier Development Council.

President – Maruf Ahmed
Maruf Ahmed is the President of DISYS, and serves on the Board of Directors as Treasurer. He was a co-founder of SIS, Inc, a consulting firm that merged with DISYS in 1999.
Mr. Ahmed currently oversees DISYS’ Information Technology, Human Resources, and Financial operations to insure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources. He is responsible for managing DISYS’ operational procedures, policies, standards, and providing the IT infrastructure and services to keep pace with DISYS’ tremendous growth. In 2011, Mr. Ahmed was honored in the CIO/CTO category for the first-annual SmartCXO Awards. Mr. Ahmed has promoted the company through written articles and is a member of the planning and policy-making committees. He works closely with the CEO to advance the company’s mission and objectives and promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.
Mr. Ahmed is an alumni of George Mason University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with Honors. He has over 21 years of Information Technology industry experience and his application of resources, experience and skills have provided solutions that expanded the industry focus, project delivery, and operational efficiencies at DISYS.
CFO – Michael Bolton
Michael is DISYS’ Chief Financial Officer and a seasoned financial and operations executive with more than 25 years in global financial and operational disciplines including positions as CFO, COO, VP of Finance and Controller.
Mr. Bolton is known throughout the industry as being a leader who works in a collaborative manner to resolve strategic and tactical issues. He has worked closely with CEOs and corporate boards to implement strategic vision and improve corporate performance across multiple corporations throughout his career.
Prior to joining DISYS, he worked at Burlin Consulting, American Traffic Solutions, ACS Government Solutions (a Xerox Corp.), Serco, Inc., CSC and Northrop Grumman. He earned a degree in Accounting and Business from Virginia Tech and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Vice President, Energy Services & International Operations – Ashish Srivastava
Ashish (Ash) Srivastava is the VP of Energy Services and International Operations for DISYS.
In this role, he oversees all DISYS’ client relationship development and growth in Utility and Oil & Gas markets as well as international offices.
He is the Executive leader for 15 offices across seven countries including regions in Latin America, India, Asia Pacific and Europe. Much of DISYS’ global expansion has been in response to the needs of our Energy clients and DISYS’ growing International footprint is an integral part of our vision to provide our global clients with a platform for expansion.
Mr. Srivastava has two decades of IT service and leadership experience. Prior to DISYS, he worked with Ciber, a $1 billion IT services company, where he was part of Ciber’s Senior Leadership Team responsible for transforming the company and attaining a more compelling position in the market. His experience in Managed Services, Solution Selling and Strategic and Global Account Management led to double digit growth of this portfolio. Prior to Ciber he held various leadership roles at outsourcers such as TCS and HCL.
Ash Srivastava is an experienced leader in industry-specific service models with a passion for solving client problems and for building high-performance organizations. He has an undergraduate degree from IIT Kharagpur, India and an MBA from Denver University. He resides in Denver, Colorado with his wife and two children.
Vice President, Banking, Financial Services and Insurance Consulting Services – Paul Pinto
Paul is a seasoned executive with 30 years of relevant leadership experience in the ITO and BPO industries. Throughout his career, Paul has served as the General Manager for divisions of a number of global professional services companies and independent software vendors.
Over the last 4 years, Paul has provided strategic advice to numerous business services firms, where his counsel has facilitated their entry into new markets, the development of channel relationships, the implementation of industry best-practices, increased staff retention, the optimization of earnings, and the transformation of business models.
Paul has spent significant time in Europe, India, China, and Latin America, where he is credited with establishing 9 centers of excellence over the last 12 years.
Vice President, High Tech & Healthcare Consulting Services – Al Barsoumian
Boston native Al Barsoumian brings with him more than a decade of experience in the technology consulting field. Brought on board initially in 2015 as a Managing Director in the DISYS Boston Office, Barsoumian quickly showcased his desire to forge partnerships with his clients. His promotion to Vice President in 2016 is testament to his commitment to creating true value for DISYS clients.
Barsoumian has a history of growing the businesses he works for on exponential levels and is currently working on building strong relationships with past and present DISYS clients by driving home the fact DISYS is a “global solutions provider” poised to help any size business succeed.
Vice President, Diversified Industries – Tim Laughlin
Mr. Laughlin joined DISYS in December of 2004 as Managing Director to open a DISYS office in Atlanta. Mr. Laughlin has since lead several successful teams during his tenure with DISYS, both local and Global.
He has served in multipole roles; Managing Director, Director of National Accounts (Treadstone) and also as an individual contributor. Mr. Laughlin made DISYS’ prestigious President’s Club twice as well as the coveted DISYS million dollar club.
Prior to joining DISYS, Mr. Laughlin served in various sales and sales leadership roles with in the IT Staffing and Solutions industry. Prior to starting his professional career in IT, Mr. Laughlin served in the United States Marine Corps with a special operations unit as a Scout Sniper.
Vice President, Finance and Accounting Staffing – Scott Evans
Scott Evans started the DISYS Finance & Professional Services division in 2008. With 17 years in the staffing industry including 11 Financial and 6 in Information Technology, Scott has developed a practice at DISYS that has grown over 60% annually including many strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 clients.
Prior to joining DISYS, Mr. Evans was Managing Partner for 5 years at Placement Solutions Inc. Scott grew up in Austin, Texas and obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business as well as a secondary teaching certification from Stephen F. Austin University. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family and friends and is also an avid sports fan who enjoys traveling.
Vice President, Global Services – Ahmar Abbas
Ahmar Abbas is the Vice President of Global Services at DISYS. He joined DISYS in July 2011, and is responsible for developing new and innovative service offerings while leveraging the global delivery model. Prior to DISYS, Mr. Abbas was the Senior Vice President at CSS Corp., responsible for Global Infrastructure Management Services and Cloud Services. Mr. Abbas has an extensive IT background: he was the Vice President of Managed Hosting Services at Blackboard Inc., the Founder and Managing Director of Grid Technology Partners, and has held various senior management positions at Ciena Corporation, Zaffire Inc., UUNet Technologies, and Salomon Brothers. Additionally, he is the author of Grid Computing: A Practical Guide to Technology and Applications, (Charles River Media, 2004), and has been frequently quoted in Business Week, Red Herring, CIO, and other technology publications.
Mr. Abbas holds a BE in Electrical Engineering, as well as a MS in Management from Stevens Institute of Technology, where he was the captain of the Squash team. He is also a graduate of the International Business program at McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University, and the Leading Product Development program at Harvard Business School. Mr. Abbas has his private pilot’s license and enjoys flying in his free time.
Vice President, Global Human Resources – Laura Smith
Laura Smith serves as Vice President of Global Human Resources for DISYS and is responsible for all Human Resource matters. Laura brings more than 25 years of HR and business experience in professional services. She earned her M.S. at American University and maintains the HR certification SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources).
Prior to joining DISYS, Laura was Executive Director of Human Resources for Edelman, the largest global marketing communications firm, where, for 16 years, she directed HR strategy and created programs in areas related to employee attraction, development, and retention for Edelman’s U.S. region. Before joining Edelman, Laura’s HR career was spent building HR capabilities at several organizations including Mercer, Foster Higgins, and PepsiCo.
Believing in giving back to the community, Laura serves on the Global Diversity & Inclusion Board of Directors Foundation and works with organizations to support efforts in eradicating serious diseases.
Vice President, Strategy, Programs, and Planning – Lily Yeh
Lily Yeh is DISYS’ Vice President of Strategy, Programs, and Planning. In her role, Lily helps define, deliver, and manage strategic initiatives focused on supporting DISYS’ corporate objectives. She oversees the following four cross-functional teams: Marketing, Proposals, Sales Enablement/Operations, and Training. These groups work together to drive efficiencies in growing DISYS’s business, capturing opportunities, and providing customer with quality service and solutions. Prior to joining DISYS, Lily held leadership roles at several top IT companies including Blackboard Inc., AOL Time Warner, and Monster Worldwide where she specialized in Strategic Planning, Product Development and Management, Marketing and Operations.
Lily holds a B.S. in Marketing and International Business from The University of Maryland and an MBA in Marketing and Information Systems from George Washington University. Her education also includes certifications in Project Management and Salesforce.
Vice President, APAC Operations – TC Tan
TC Tan leads DISYS’ operations in the Asia Pacific region and is a seasoned enterprise IT Leader with over 23 years of experience in the enterprise IT industry. Prior to joining DISYS, TC was Country Manager for Savvis, an industry leading corporation specializing in Enterprise Cloud Computing, Colocation, Managed Hosting, and Professional Cloud Services. Throughout his career, TC had the opportunity to work in leadership roles at several global Enterprise IT corporations, and brings regional APAC experience having lived/worked in Indonesia (Jakarta), Taiwan (Taipei), China (Dalian), and managed a regional ASEAN team while being based in Singapore.
TC has a technical background with a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the NUS (National University of Singapore), and brings a diverse experience of working in a multi-cultural environment. He also currently serves as a Vice President at the Singapore Computer Society (www.scs.org.sg) and is editor of its quarterly magazine, “The IT Society”.
Vice President, Operations – Firas Al-Hindi
Firas Al-Hindi is the Vice President of Operations at DISYS. He joined DISYS in 2012, bringing more than 25 years of technology industry leadership, system delivery, operational management, and executive management experience to the DISYS team.
Mr. Al-Hindi is responsible for enabling operational excellence across the company and building capabilities for DISYS’ future growth. In his role, he helps to drive DISYS’ vision and strategy by managing prioritization, effective resource alignment, process improvement, measurement, and accountability.
Prior to DISYS, Firas worked at Intelsat from 1990 to 2006 in a number of IT and operational roles. Between 2006 and 2012, Firas had various management and leadership roles at DDC Advocacy, ANHAM and Verdi Consulting. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from The Catholic University of America. He is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
Vice President, India Operations – Kumar Rajagopalan
Kumar leads India Operations and also provides strategic direction for alignment of DISYS PeopleSoft Application and F&A Processes. Kumar has more than 20 years of experience in IT Consulting, Project & Program Management, Pre-Sales, Large Project Transition Work, Finance & Accounts.
Prior to joining DISYS, Kumar co-founded an eLearning startup company and he managed large teams for an Offshore Delivery Center. He was the head of Enterprise Applications (PeopleSoft and SAP) at Dell Perot System and led the PeopleSoft professional services practice. Kumar is an inter-networking pioneer in ASP models of ERP Applications and has provided solutions in all major Enterprise Financial Application suites (PeopleSoft, SAP and Oracle E-Biz).
One of his key projects includes successful implementation of project-based, single accounting platforms for non-regulated businesses of Verizon Corp, merged entities of GTE and Bell Atlantic companies.
Kumar is a Qualified Chartered Accountant and has worked large Audit engagements, including Public Sector enterprises for large public and private companies.
General Counsel – Alex Baldwin
Alex Baldwin serves as DISYS’ General Counsel and Secretary, overseeing all legal and regulatory matters. Alex has over 20 years of business and legal experience, and has served as General Counsel of two other private companies.
Prior to joining DISYS, Alex was General Counsel of Hillcrest Laboratories, a venture-backed software company, where he was responsible for all legal and regulatory matters. Prior to Hillcrest, Alex served for 5 years as the EVP, General Counsel and Secretary of The HealthCentral Network, Inc., a venture-backed Internet company with a network of consumer health websites. At HealthCentral, Alex was responsible for all legal, regulatory, and HR matters and he negotiated and closed four acquisitions and then helped successfully sell the company.
Prior to HealthCentral, Alex was a Junior Partner at WilmerHale, a leading international law firm, where he practiced as a corporate transactional lawyer for emerging technology companies, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings and initial public offerings.
Alex earned his J.D. at University of Michigan Law School and his B.A. at Yale University.
